From struggle to self-reliance, from self-reliance to service

Born on 06 December 1990, Sanjeev Mishra “Fantan” moved from early family responsibility through hard work, education and enterprise into a wider life of community support and grassroots engagement.

From professional driving to contracting and property-related work, the journey built self-reliance. That independence gradually expanded the ability to support families, students, patients, women and local communities.

Having lived through difficult years, he learned the value of standing with others

The accidental death of his elder brother, followed by the loss of his father, brought family responsibility at a young age. Those years shaped a lasting respect for work, self-reliance and the importance of standing with people in difficult moments.

Service that expanded from families to communities

Support has not followed a single format. Depending on the situation, it has included education, treatment, marriages, housing, essential needs and local community concerns.

Families in need

Practical support during difficult financial and family circumstances.

Medical support

Assistance around illness, hospitalisation and treatment-related needs.

Education

Support for children and families facing difficulty with educational needs.

Housing & essentials

Help with housing and essential family requirements.

Presence among people is the real ground of a public identity

Photographs from villages, social programmes, youth interaction, local meetings and family visits form the most vivid record of this journey.

A public role that moved beyond individual assistance to local concerns and wider community issues.

Dialogue where dialogue was needed, representation where representation mattered, and democratic public action where community concerns required a stronger voice.
